Spring has Sprung!!!

A garden is one of the easiest ways to ensure self-sufficiency and a healthy diet.

Here we are, almost a quarter of the way through the year already.  Although the snow is still flying here in the north, it’s time to start thinking about our gardens.  What to plant and when to plant it is the question for new and experienced gardeners alike.

We’ve developed some gardeners’ assistants to help answer those questions. We think that you will like them. See them on our new Shop.

We encourage everyone to plant a garden full of heirloom veggies and herbs.  There is nothing better than walking out your back door and coming back with fresh, hand-picked ingredients for the night’s salad.

Right now, I am dreaming of home-made mozzarella, sliced Burgess Mammoth Wonder tomatoes, sweet basil, balsamic vinegar, and good quality extra virgin olive oil.  A pinch of salt and a grind of black pepper are the finishing touches.

Our new greenhouse plans are under way and we will soon be offering flowers, herbs, and veggie transplants.  All of our products are open pollinated, non-gmo, heirloom varieties grown from quality seed from great vendors like Victory Seeds.

Happy Gardening!!!
